An agent is an AI that does not only talk: it picks steps, uses tools and works until a job is done.
In a simple example
You say: Find a flight under 200 dollars and put it in my notes. The agent searches, compares and writes the note.
Why it matters to you
Agents can save hours of work, but they can also take actions you did not expect, so they need limits.
Do not confuse with
A chatbot only answers. An agent also acts, so it needs more care.
