Hosting
Hosting is a computer that stays on all day and shows your website to anyone who visits.
In a simple example
You upload your site files to a hosting service, and it sends them to each visitor who types your address.
Why it matters to you
Without hosting your site only lives on your own computer, and nobody else can see it.
Do not confuse with
Hosting is where the site lives. The domain is only its address.
