Merchant account
A merchant account is the business account that receives the money from your customers' card payments.
In a simple example
Your gateway collects 100 dinars from a customer and, after a short wait, puts it in your merchant account.
Why it matters to you
You need one to be paid online, and the bank or gateway usually asks for papers about your business first.
Do not confuse with
A merchant account is not your personal bank account, though the money may later move there.
