Database and logins: Supabase

Give your site a place to save information and let people log in.

What this is: Supabase is a service that stores your site's information and handles logins. This guide sets it up safely.
Who it is for: Anyone whose site must remember things, like bookings, or needs logins.
What you will get: A project with locked tables and email login.

Your path: Supabase

☐ Create a Supabase project
1. Sign up, then press New project.
2. Pick a name and the region closest to your visitors.
You should see: Your project opens after a short wait.
☐ Save the database password
1. Let the page make a password for you, or type a long one.
2. Save it in a password manager now.
You should see: The password is saved in a safe place.
☐ Find your two keys
1. Open Project Settings, then API.
2. Copy the publishable key for the browser. Keep the secret (service role) key on the server only.
You should see: You know which key is public and which is secret.
☐ Make your tables
1. Copy the prompt, fill the bracket and ask your AI tool for the SQL.
2. Open SQL Editor, paste the SQL and press Run.
You should see: Your tables show in Table Editor.
☐ Turn on Row Level Security
1. Open Table Editor and pick a table.
2. Turn on RLS. Do the same for every table.
You should see: Every table shows that RLS is on.
☐ Turn on email login
1. Open Authentication.
2. Turn on email login and add your first user.
You should see: Your first user is in the list.
