A card payment is when a customer pays online by typing their bank card details.
In a simple example
The customer enters the number, the date and the code on the back, and the payment is taken at once.
Why it matters to you
Cards are the most familiar way to pay online, so most shops offer them.
Do not confuse with
A debit card takes the money from the account now. A credit card lends it and the customer pays later.
