Webhook
A webhook is a message that one service sends to your app by itself when something happens.
In a simple example
A payment service tells your site: Order 12 was paid. Your site then marks the order as paid.
Why it matters to you
It lets your app react at once, without asking again and again if anything changed.
Do not confuse with
A webhook comes to you. An API request is something you send out.
