Fix · Sign-in and accounts
The sign-in link (magic link) says expired or does not log me in
Not checked against the vendor's current screens
What you may see
- I click the email link and land on the login page again
- Links work in one browser and not when the email app opens them
Most likely cause
The link works once, for a short time, and in the same browser or flow that asked for it; email apps may open it in a different built-in browser or pre-open it.
Check first (about two minutes)
- Does it work if you copy the link into the same browser where you asked for it?
The fix prompt
What you type here never leaves your browser. The search runs on this page, and nothing is sent to a server or to an AI.
Kept only in this browser, on this device. Keys and passwords are removed before anything is saved.
Prompt language
Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Cursor, then follow what it says.
After you tried it, did it work?
Steps
- Check the flow that creates the session from the link and which browser/device it expects.
- Offer a one-time code that the user types as an alternative, which avoids the browser change.
- Show a friendly message and a "send a new link" button when a link has expired.
Do not do this
- Do not email the same link twice.
- Do not lengthen the validity to days.
