Fix · Node, npm and build
Import alias (@/ or ~/) not found
What you may see
- Imports starting with @/ fail in the build or in tests
Most likely cause
The shortcut is defined in one tool (the editor or TypeScript) but not in the tool that fails (the bundler or the test runner).
Check first (about two minutes)
- Check tsconfig.json "paths" and the bundler or test config for the same alias.
The fix prompt
What you type here never leaves your browser. The search runs on this page, and nothing is sent to a server or to an AI.
Kept only in this browser, on this device. Keys and passwords are removed before anything is saved.
Prompt language
Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Cursor, then follow what it says.
After you tried it, did it work?
Steps
- Show the alias in tsconfig and in the failing tool's config.
- Add the matching alias to the failing tool, using that tool's documented way.
Do not do this
- Do not duplicate files to avoid the alias.
- Do not rewrite all imports to relative paths.
