Fix · Google and sharing
The same page is reachable at several addresses (duplicates)
What you may see
- www and non-www, http and https, or trailing slash versions all open
Most likely cause
Search engines treat each address as a page; without a main address chosen, they split attention among copies.
Check first (about two minutes)
- Open the same page with and without www, with http and with a trailing slash.
The fix prompt
What you type here never leaves your browser. The search runs on this page, and nothing is sent to a server or to an AI.
Kept only in this browser, on this device. Keys and passwords are removed before anything is saved.
Prompt language
Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Cursor, then follow what it says.
After you tried it, did it work?
Steps
- Choose one main address style and redirect all others to it with one permanent redirect.
- Add a canonical tag on every page pointing to its main address.
- Keep the sitemap to main addresses only.
Do not do this
- Do not chain several redirects.
- Do not redirect everything to the home page.
