A chatbot is a program you talk to in a chat window, and it writes back.
In a simple example
A shop puts a chat box on its site. A customer types: Are you open on Friday? and the chatbot answers.
Why it matters to you
A chatbot answers common questions all day, so you do not have to.
Do not confuse with
A chatbot only talks. An agent can also do things, like search or book.
