Fix · Pages, phones and Arabic
Typing Arabic in a field: cursor, text or placeholder on the wrong side
Kuwait and Gulf
What you may see
- An email or phone field behaves strangely in Arabic
- English words in an Arabic field jump around
Most likely cause
Fields follow the page direction; fields that always hold left-to-right data (email, phone, link, code) need their own direction.
Check first (about two minutes)
- Test an email field and a name field on the Arabic page.
The fix prompt
What you type here never leaves your browser. The search runs on this page, and nothing is sent to a server or to an AI.
Kept only in this browser, on this device. Keys and passwords are removed before anything is saved.
Prompt language
Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Cursor, then follow what it says.
After you tried it, did it work?
Steps
- Set dir="ltr" on email, phone, URL and code fields, with text-align: start so they sit on the correct side.
- Set dir="auto" on free text fields (names, addresses, messages) so each text follows its own language.
- Use the right input types (email, tel) so phone keyboards show correctly.
Do not do this
- Do not force every field to rtl.
- Do not change how the data is saved.
