Fix · Pages, phones and Arabic
Phone numbers, prices or English words look reversed inside Arabic text
Kuwait and Gulf
What you may see
- A phone number written with a plus sign and country code shows the plus at the end
- Numbers come out flipped in the Arabic page
- A full stop or bracket jumps to the wrong side of an English word
- The price 12.500 KWD is mixed up
Most likely cause
Right-to-left text moves neutral signs (+, ., brackets, %) to the wrong side of left-to-right pieces, unless each piece is isolated.
Check first (about two minutes)
- Which text is wrong: a phone, a price, a product name in English, a date?
The fix prompt
What you type here never leaves your browser. The search runs on this page, and nothing is sent to a server or to an AI.
Kept only in this browser, on this device. Keys and passwords are removed before anything is saved.
Prompt language
Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Cursor, then follow what it says.
After you tried it, did it work?
Steps
- Wrap each left-to-right piece (phone numbers, prices with currency, codes, English names) in an element with dir="ltr" or the bdi element, or use unicode-bidi: isolate.
- For user text of unknown direction (names, addresses), use dir="auto" on the element.
- Decide with me whether numbers show as Western digits (0-9) or Arabic-Indic digits and use ONE style across the site; format Kuwaiti dinar with three decimals.
- Check the same text in the emails and the receipt too.
Do not do this
- Do not add invisible marks by hand in the text everywhere; isolate with markup.
- Do not change the numbers or text themselves.
