Next step · What to do next

Put my website online for the first time (deploy)

What you may see

  • How do I publish my site so people can open it?

Why this step

A website only on your computer cannot be seen by anyone else; a host builds your project and gives it a public address.

Before you start

  1. Is the project saved on GitHub and does npm run build pass locally?
  2. Do you know which environment variables the project needs (names)?

The prompt for this step

What you type here never leaves your browser. The search runs on this page, and nothing is sent to a server or to an AI.

Kept only in this browser, on this device. Keys and passwords are removed before anything is saved.

Prompt language

Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Cursor, then follow what it says.

After you tried it, did it work?

Steps

  1. Identify the framework and recommend a suitable host for it with the reason and the main limits of the free plan (tell me to read the current plan page; do not quote numbers).
  2. Walk me through connecting the GitHub repository to the host, step by step, naming the settings (framework, build command, output folder, root folder, environment variables); the screens may be labelled differently.
  3. List the environment variables to add (names only), and tell me to type values myself in the host settings.
  4. After the first deployment, give me a test list: home page, inner pages, forms, images, Arabic page, phone.

Do not do this

  • Do not deploy a project you have not run locally.
  • Do not put keys in the code to make the deployment work.
